Lower Your Costs
Once-used Gaylords provide a lower-cost alternative to newly manufactured bulk containers. Most Rebox customers see between 40 - 70% savings on gaylords with Rebox.
Quality Checked
All our Gaylords are reviewed for structural integrity, cleanliness, dryness, wall and corner condition, and damage that could affect performance.
Custom Support
Our team considers your product, approximate load weight, bottom style, handling process, volume, and delivery location before recommending an option.
Sourced Regionally
Gaylords are large and expensive to ship over long distances. We look for available supply close enough to your operation to keep freight practical.
Sustainable
Choosing once-used Gaylords extends the life of structurally sound packaging, reduces the need for new materials and manufacturing, and supports a more circular packaging system.
Getting started with Rebox as a buyer is straightforward. Here is what the process looks like from first contact to active program:
Step 1 —Tell Us What You Need.
Share your:
- Product or material
- Approximate load weight
- Preferred size
- Wall construction and bottom style, if known
- Monthly volume
- Delivery location
You do not need to know every specification before contacting us.
Step 2 — We Check Regional Availability and Confirm Best Fit.
Our team checks available supply and considers the distance between the Gaylords and your operation. We compare the dimensions, construction, bottom style, and condition with your product and handling requirements. If the exact Gaylord is not available, we may recommend the closest option that still works for your operation.
Step 3 — We Confirm Pricing and Delivery.
Once we identify the right option, we provide pricing, freight details, lead time, and delivery information. For repeat needs, we can help plan ongoing supply around your expected volume. Many businesses rely on Rebox as an ongoing supply partner, making once-used Gaylords a recurring part of their packaging and material-handling operations.
Actual dimensions, bottom styles and availability may vary by region.
Typical load ranges include:
Double-wall: 500–800 pounds
Triple-wall: 1,000–1,500 pounds
4–5 wall: 2,000–2,500+ pounds
Actual capacity depends on the box condition, bottom style, pallet support, product density, stacking method, and handling environment.
Most customers request an approximate 48 × 40-inch footprint with a height of around 40 inches.
Gaylords with an approximate 48 × 40 × 40 footprint and 48 × 40 × 72 double-wall e-commerce Gaylords are among the most commonly sourced options in our network. Other sizes and heavy-duty constructions depend more heavily on regional supply.
Double-wall Gaylords are best for lighter materials such as paper and soft goods. Triple-wall works well for medium-duty materials such as plastics. Heavy-duty 4–5 wall Gaylords are used for metal, dense plastics, and other heavy materials.
Our boxes are once-used, which means they were opened once at a manufacturer and never used for outbound shipping. Every box in our network is inspected for quality before it reaches you. They're structurally sound and built to protect your goods through another full shipping cycle. For most internal or facility-to-facility applications, you won't notice a difference (except for a reduction in costs). Once-used is the most sustainable and cost-effective option for your corrugated packaging needs.
A full bottom provides more complete coverage beneath the product. A partial bottom has less coverage and relies more heavily on a pallet or other stable base.
Lids are not normally stocked with once-used Gaylords. Rebox may be able to source or make new lids when required.
Most programs work best when Gaylords are sourced regionally, typically within approximately 250–500 miles of an available supply location. The practical shipping distance depends on the Gaylord construction, order quantity, supply location, and freight requirements. Our team will confirm whether the freight distance makes sense for your order.
Over 2,000 businesses across North America, including some of the largest retailers on the continent, have already made the switch.
In partnership with Duke University, we confirmed what our partners already knew: reuse requires 10 times less energy and produces 45 times fewer emissions than recycling.
The case for once-used isn't new, it's proven. And every box we deliver is hand-inspected to make sure it lives up to that standard.
